ThriveLib Conference

ThriveLib is a virtual conference by librarians, for librarians, dedicated to the emotional and psychological well-being of library workers. Launched in 2025, this multi-day event brings together librarians, library staff, and information professionals from all types of libraries to explore one essential question: What does it mean to truly thrive in library work today?

Library workers have long faced increasing demands, compassion fatigue, blurred boundaries, and diminishing support, all while continuing to serve their communities with dedication and care. ThriveLib was created to honor that commitment while creating space to imagine something better. Together, we’re redefining what well-being in librarianship looks like, centered not on individual “fixes,” but on collective care, systemic change, and sustainable workplace practices.

You won’t find sessions promoting weight loss, fitness for weight control, or individual blame for systemic problems. Instead, ThriveLib focuses on evidence-based approaches that prioritize community, compassion, and meaningful organizational change.

At its heart, ThriveLib is more than a conference; it’s a call to action and a collective commitment to creating healthier, more joyful library workplaces. Join us to learn, reflect, connect, and take actionable steps toward reclaiming joy, balance, and boundaries in your work and your life.

Because change starts small, and it starts with us. Learn more about past and future ThriveLib Conferences.
